Birtherism. Fake town-hall meetings with fake concerned (but real dumfuk ignorant) citizens bussed in to scream down the real conversation. Fast-forward 18 months and those town-hall meetings with lots of angry citizens are suddenly a leftist plot, not a genuine expression of populist rage.
It turns out, Rush Limbaugh's callers are mostly paid actors who tell a real good story.
It turns out, nobody ever really liked Glenn Beck anyway.
It turns out, Sarah Palin is a shrill irritant with no leadership skills whatsoever.
It turns out, John Boehner is more interested in his tan than his job, still.
It turns out, that right-wingers are manufacturing budget crises and then using them to ACTUALLY ram through ACTUALLY REALLY UNPOPULAR POLICY. And by "ram" through, we mean "pass without any public discussion whatsoever."
It turns out every single thing the right-wing has said over the last two years has been a ridiculous lie.
